Today marks the last day of our Phase 0 XP program. As of today, we have over 400,000 users who have signed up and deposited over $35,000,000 to their accounts.
While Phase 0 has ended today, incentives haven’t and there are a few important things we have to do before starting Phase 1.
Starting today, we enter what we call Phase 1 Preseason.
Recap on Phase 0
We believe equally in the importance of building a great product and community. Our multiphase XP program is meant to filter for and reward engaging members for contributing meaningfully to the community.
Phase 0 was centered around distribution. Users earned XP for pre-funding their DFlow app accounts, and inviting friends to do the same. The point of pre-funding wallet accounts is to ensure the onboarding process to our mobile trading app is seamless; the accounts users pre-funded are the same accounts used for trading on DFlow. When users download the app, their funds will simply be available to trade - no bridging, no complex transactions, no friction.
All DFlow accounts are non-custodial and we have no access to user funds.
What’s Phase 1 Preseason
Phase 1 Preseason allows users to prepare for Phase 1, which will mark the release of DFlow mainnet. DFlow mainnet means the DFlow app and protocol will be live for usage (very exciting).
Redistribution to Real Users
We value genuine interaction and contribution in the DFlow community, and want to reward users who fall in that category. While Phase 0 has been successful in fueling distribution and setting up a great onboarding UX to DFlow through pre-funding, we have been monitoring and have noticed several accounts attempting to sybil in an attempt to gain outsized XP rewards.
Over the next month, we will be underwriting all accounts and their referral behaviors to ensure real users are rewarded (e.g. sybil users dilute and extract value from real users). We cannot emphasize enough how excited we are to reward the most loyal members of our community.
Be on the lookout for announcements in May as we will be updating the XP and rank per account. Your current XP and rank will improve if you’ve been using DFlow and are not a sybil account.
Community Incentives
At the core, DFlow is building a protocol for segmenting order flow based on specific order flow traits, such as the toxicity of the flow. Similarly, we believe in segmenting community members and filtering for users who actually put in the time and effort to make a difference.
Through Discord, the DFlow community can gain eligibility for promotion by engaging in educational conversations about the DFlow protocol. As users participate, our team, community managers, mods and peers will then vouch for users for promotion (i.e. receive a special role).
Special roles receive XP on a weekly basis paid out as a lump sum prior to DFlow mainnet. Details are found inside our Discord.
Phase 0 Snapshot
As Phase 0 concludes, withdrawals will no longer penalize your XP earned prior to the end of Phase 0.
However, we will be taking a snapshot of all accounts before the launch later next month. We will “issue” 15% of XP distributed in Phase 0 and distribute to users at the end of Phase 1 Preseason in a pro-rata manner (i.e. your deposit amount vs. the total amount). Remember, further deposits will no longer count towards XP in Phase 1 Preseason.
For example, let’s say 20,000,000 XP were generated in Phase 0, we will distribute 3,000,000 XP to users who stick around until Phase 1 (based on deposits made in Phase 0). We recognize the dedication it requires to keep capital available for pre-funding your future DFlow app account, and that dedication will be reflected in XP earned. We appreciate users who have made meaningful financial commitments to our project early on.
What to Expect From Us
This is just the beginning. We have noticed a significant uptick in engagement in Discord and have prepared a lot of content to be released over the next coming weeks.
We want our community to be excited about what we’re building and stay tuned for details on when the product will be live!
Join the community and discuss more in our Discord.
